Involving ten of the world's best known and best loved arias and David Chesworth's witty and original score, Recital is a highly original hybrid of opera and theatre. As much satire as celebration of 'high art', the distinction between the life of a performer, and life as performance, blurs with telling consequences.
Recital offers satirical profundity from a rich and humorous examination of a operatic myths, here staged with Beckettian simplicity. Recital remains one of Chamber Made's most toured works, celebrated from Caracas to Covent Garden.
