Chamber Made continues its investigation into contemporary
'unsung' music-theatre with Richard Murphet's unique modern
classic SLOW LOVE.. Jennifer and Brad, Tom and Nicole, Scarlet
and Rhett, the To Have or Have Not of Bogey and Bacall - film and
television have both consumed and surpassed the classics in their
relentless promotion of ideal lovers.
Slow Love is a theatrical examination of our obsession with, and devotion to, these amorous icons of the small and silver screens. Through over 120 rapid-fire scenes of men and women falling in and out of love, Slow Love dissects celluloid's controlling force in everyday lives.
Love, love, love - it's all we ever think about... Slow Love features a brilliant sound world performed live by internationally renowned composer and improviser Stevie Wishart. With violin, hurdy-gurdy, voice and electronics, Wishart's music explores in inimitable fashion medieval and contemporary extremes.
