Ida Duelund Hansen
DOUBLE BASS, VOICE & COMPOSER
Ida Duelund Hansen is a Danish bass player, vocalist and composer who is currently based in Melbourne. She specialises in jazz, experimental and pop music performance and composition.
Since she moved to Melbourne to study at the Northern Melbourne Institute of Tafe in 2009, Ida has performed as part of several festivals, including the
Melbourne Jazz Fringe Festival (with bass player Jonathan Heilbron),
Melbourne International Women's Jazz Festival (with Diana Clark and Dough De Vries) and the
Quiet Music Festival.
In Denmark Ida has performed as part of Copenhagen International Jazz Festival, Vinterjazz Festival and performed at venues including Copenhagen Jazz House, Operaen (Christiania) and Trinitatis Natkirke. She also featured on the record 'Verdens Navle' (compositions by Jørgen Emborg) released by Sundance Records (Copenhagen).
