Joël Murray is a passionate believer in the contemporary arts, ephemeral public art and politics. He has held policy positions across a range of government portfolios and until recently was the Director of a boutique consulting business focusing on policy, marketing and arts management projects. One career highlight was working for the Merce Cunningham Dance Company in 2008 as an arts management intern.
Joël is currently studying his Master of Arts (Arts Management) at RMIT focusing on art in public spaces, and arts censorship. He hopes to go onto complete a PhD in the future.
