Karen Sibbing

PERFORMER

Before coming to Australia, Karen worked as a performer in The Netherlands where she appeared in Het iets en Het Niets directed by Anke Boerstra (Theater de New Vorst) and Cement directed by Merel Beernink, which toured nationally.

Karen furthered her training at the Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne and was subsequently selected for the graduate programme at Red Stitch Actors Theatre. At Red Stitch Karen appeared in The Gronholm Method directed by Nadia Tass and Oh Well Never Mind Bye directed by Gary Abrahams.

Karen’s other theatre credits include The Colour of Glass directed by Andrew Grey (La Mama) and Elektra directed by Adena Jacobs (The Dog Theatre), both of which were nominated for a Green Room Award (Best Direction).
