Tim Stitz
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
Tim Stitz is a performer, theatre-maker and producer.
From 2008-2011 he was Project Manager on the TheatreSpace project, a four-year Australian Research Council project investigating the young audiences of Australia’s major state theatre companies and cultural venues (Griffith, Sydney & Melbourne universities in association with thirteen arts industry partners). He has worked in various capacities in the arts including positions at the Melbourne School of Creative Arts, Victorian Arts Centre, Pioneer Productions (TV-UK), Auspicious Arts Projects and with John Paxinos & Associates.
He studied at the University of Melbourne and is a graduate of Circle in the Square Theatre School, New York. Tim is currently President of the Green Room Awards Association, Secretary on the La Mama Committee of Management and a member of Melbourne Playback Theatre Company.
Recent performance credits include: guest starring in
Taxi as part of the 2011 Big West Festival; his critically acclaimed solo-show
Lloyd Beckmann, Beekeeper (Two Blue Cherries – La Mama / Canberra Theatre Centre / Tamarama Rock Surfers, Sydney / Brisbane Powerhouse);
In Other Words (cheLA, Buenos Aires / Arts House, Meat Market / Abbotsford Convent);
Three Dog Night (Two Blue Cherries – Adelaide Festival Centre / fortyfivedownstairs) and
Asylum (Here Theatre – La Mama & Regional Arts Victoria tour). At the 2006 Green Room Awards, Tim was nominated for Best Male Performer in
Still a Hero (La Mama) and as part of the cast of
The Time is Not Yet Ripe (Here Theatre) received the Best Ensemble Award.
He is also Creative Producer of
Two Blue Cherries, an independent theatre company dedicated to the development of Australian theatre.
